Pronouncing Missouri as Missour-ah just makes us all sound like a bunch of ignorant hayseeds. Half of the population of Missour-ee is just dead wrong! Here you go - pronounce the following words: macaroni, spaghetti, pepsi, bikini, safari, chili, taxi, .... and there are probably hundreds more! Did you say "AH" at the end of any of those words?? If you did - you might just be a dumb@$$. Maybe it's helpful to also point out that Missour-ee ranks in the bottom half of the country in overall education rankings.Apr 28, 2009

I also grew up saying you eat a chocolate sundae(prounounced sun dah)in St.Louis. But my little Ozark college town said,"SUNDAY!" They also said,"Sant Louis! In the final analysis, it is Missourieeee!Feb 10, 2009
